Lead Agile/Digital Project Manager

Answer Digital is a successful digital transformation agency based in Leeds City Centre. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Agile Project Manager to work as part of our delivery teams in enabling successful outcomes for our clients.

Delivering outcomes for our customers is what we do. You will be responsible for managing the delivery of projects encompassing both business and technical aspects of the solution. Using agile and lean principles you will lead the team in establishing the foundations of the project through to the release of the solution into production and the management of post go live processes e.g. support, enhancements and usability improvements.

Responsibilities include:

  • The Agile PM will initiate, plan, facilitate and motivate agile project teams, and is accountable for the successful delivery of project engagements.
  • Act as the Scrum Master for the delivery team ensuring effective use of agile methodologies and techniques.
  • Facilitate team ceremonies - Sprint Planning, Review, Retrospective and Standups.
  • Lead “Discovery phases” with clients, establishing the strategic, operational, technical and commercial foundations for project delivery.
  • Facilitate user story workshops and elicit requirements from the project and client stakeholders.
  • Coordinate User and Customer Experience research activities with the UX Designers.
  • Identify areas of improvement for the Delivery Team and enable them to implement planned change.
  • Ensure transparency in the Management of project risks and issues, and communicate effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage project budgets and utilisation of team members.

  • Scrum Master certification is beneficial but not essential.
  • Prince2 Qualification is a bonus
  • You must have the right to work and reside in the UK
  • Full UK driving licence is beneficial as occasional travel is required

Automation Testing Academy Tester

The Answer Digital Automation Testing Academy is a 12-week programme that equips talent with the most contemporary technical skills and process understanding, and fast-tracks them to become project ready Answer Automation Test Engineers.

This programme combines structured training, self-learning and hands-on Automation Testing, all while giving you the opportunity to understand the role of an agile tester within an agile delivery context. The programme also provides excellent mentorship from our team of digital experts, those on the Academy learn directly from those pushing the boundaries in live Answer projects.

Job Type: Automation Testing Academy Tester

Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire (Upon Academy graduation, role may include travel, if/when project requires it)

The programme:

During the Academy, learning is structured around two key phases:

Phase 1: Runs over 6 weeks with 3 two-week sprints of practitioner-led training, self-learning and hands-on mentoring covering key foundation knowledge and understanding the context of agile project delivery. This includes learning of the latest test automation processes and technologies such as BDD, Cucumber, Selenium WebDriver, Katalon Studio and REST-assured supported up by core programming skills in Java and C#.  This phase also includes continual check-points and assessment in order to progress into Phase 2.

Phase 2: Runs over 6 weeks with 3 two-week sprints working as a trainee test engineer within a live Answer project environment. This project could be for any one of client across our Retail, Finance, Payments or Health sectors.

Solution Architect (Junior)

This phase also involves continual check-points and an assessment in week 4 in order to progress into Phase 2.

You will continue to learn about agile project delivery through this phase in preparation to progress into Phase 3. Phase 3: In this final phase, you will be embedded within a team and have the opportunity to contribute to a live Answer project. You will experience our agile project delivery processes first-hand, while still being supported by your mentors to ensure you hit the ground running! This phase also includes continual check-points and ongoing assessment through-out the phase in order to graduate from the Academy.

    Integration Academy Engineer (Starting Jan 2020)

    Answer’s Integration Engineering Academy is a 6-week programme that equips talent with the most contemporary technical skills and process understanding, fast tracking them to become project ready as Integration Engineers at Answer. 

    This programme combines structured training, self-learning and hands-on integration engineering, all while giving you the opportunity to understand development within an agile delivery context. The programme also provides excellent mentorship from our team of digital experts, those on the Academy learn directly from those pushing the boundaries in live Answer projects.

    Lead Test Engineer

    We are looking for a Lead Test Automation Engineer to join a group of dedicated automation testers and work on a variety of agile projects across Health, Retail and Finance sectors. Ideally you will have automation testing experience, which includes building automation frameworks from scratch within agile project environments.
