Lead Agile/Digital Project Manager

Answer Digital is a successful digital transformation agency based in Leeds City Centre. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Agile Project Manager to work as part of our delivery teams in enabling successful outcomes for our clients.

Delivering outcomes for our customers is what we do. You will be responsible for managing the delivery of projects encompassing both business and technical aspects of the solution. Using agile and lean principles you will lead the team in establishing the foundations of the project through to the release of the solution into production and the management of post go live processes e.g. support, enhancements and usability improvements.

Responsibilities include:

  • The Agile PM will initiate, plan, facilitate and motivate agile project teams, and is accountable for the successful delivery of project engagements.
  • Act as the Scrum Master for the delivery team ensuring effective use of agile methodologies and techniques.
  • Facilitate team ceremonies - Sprint Planning, Review, Retrospective and Standups.
  • Lead “Discovery phases” with clients, establishing the strategic, operational, technical and commercial foundations for project delivery.
  • Facilitate user story workshops and elicit requirements from the project and client stakeholders.
  • Coordinate User and Customer Experience research activities with the UX Designers.
  • Identify areas of improvement for the Delivery Team and enable them to implement planned change.
  • Ensure transparency in the Management of project risks and issues, and communicate effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage project budgets and utilisation of team members.

Your experience will include:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in one of the following roles or similar: Project Manager, Scrum Master, Delivery Lead, Product Owner
  • You have experience in an agile software delivery environment, including Scrum and Kanban methodologies
  • Scrum Master certification is beneficial but not essential.
  • Prince2 Qualification is a bonus
  • You must have the right to work and reside in the UK
  • Full UK driving licence is beneficial as occasional travel is required

Solution Architect - Architecture within the health sector

We’re looking to expand our team of Solution Architects who work with our customers to understand strategy and requirements across their enterprise. The role requires you to understand, plan, design and support the deployment of large and complex healthcare products, platforms and solutions into the NHS at local, regional and national levels.

Ideally you will have worked with healthcare organisations (e.g. Acute Trust) and have experience of working with complex environments and solutions, with significant experience of engaging with suppliers and senior stakeholders. Knowledge of NHS systems is essential, with experience in interoperability and health specific data standards is highly desirable.

The role is focused on the design and management of software solutions and systems, however, knowledge of underlying operating systems, componentry (e.g. cloud services, LAN/WAN, end user devices) and infrastructure are helpful to the role.

The role is ideal for people who want to make a difference, think big and help our customers get the most out of digital technology.

Responsibilities include:

  • Understanding and steering the digital strategy of our customers (working with CTOs, CIOs, other architects).
  • Defining technical solutions, documenting and translating business requirements into solution designs, options appraisals, or in support of business cases.
  • Liaising (through governance processes such as a Design Authority) with technical and project teams on new and existing changes.
  • Providing architecture/technical leadership and support for projects and programmes, ensure new application deployments align with the overall strategy.
  • Ensuring quality and providing technical oversight or assurance of new and existing solutions, systems, and options.
  • Managing risks and issues as they arise and escalating as required.
  • Motivating and mentoring colleagues and teams to meet objectives.

The Successful Applicant

To be successful in this role you will has the following experience / skills:

  • Defining technical solutions including integration to new and legacy systems
  • Experience of system to system integration and interoperability in the NHS
  • Experience of NHS standard informatics processes (e.g. ITIL), organisational structures and governance
  • Deep knowledge of the NHS and how patients are treated by it (e.g. RTT pathways)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a non-technical language
  • Experience working in a structured project management and delivery focused environment
  • Hands-on experience in delivering a solution from inception through to implementation
  • Strong background in client-facing roles with excellent stakeholder management

Desirable skills include:

  • Technology background in .NET
  • Client facing experience gained from a technical consultancy or software vendor
  • Ability to represent organisations at local, regional and national architecture forums
  • Architecture and system design experience for nationwide interoperability programmes
  • Experience working directly with executive and director level management
  • Previous background as a Software Developer or Systems Integrator

The Answer Academy
